Thanks for taking the time to stop by and find out more about the Safe Food Foundation and the work we’re doing here! Have a look around our website and please contact us with any questions, comments or concerns you may have!

We are honoured to be the new stewards of the Truefood Network and to join YOU and YOUR networks in this extremely important mission to protect OUR food system. We want to support you taking control of the food you eat. Our vision is sustainable agriculture in every sense of the work, rather than corporate ownership of food.

We have spent our first 2 years as an organisation working vigorously to spread the word about risks and issues stemming from the release of genetically modified foods and helping those who take a stand against them such as Steve Marsh from WA. He is an organic farmer who lost certification on 70% of his farm when GM canola blew over the fence, allegedly from his neighbouring farm. He is suing his neighbour to recover his losses and to prevent the growing of GM canola near his farm. This is a world first and if Steve (and we the people) are successful, then we have a much better chance of putting the GM canola genie back in the bottle in Australia.

We have also established The Safe Food Institute in order to conduct high quality research into issues of food safety and quality. Last year we released a report into the safety of GM wheat and we have funded GM laboratory feeding trials that are in progress. We are supporting other cutting edge research (we can’t give details yet) that is looking at the interaction of the next wave of GM crops with our soils.

We look forward to working with all of you to continue protecting our food system and assuring that all food is safe food.

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our Directors’ welcome video here.

Best wishes,
Scott Kinnear & Clive Blazey – founding directors of The Safe Food Foundation and The Safe Food Institute.

    Dear Scott & Clive,

I recently discovered your website and have been reviewing the content with great satisfaction..

This is a sincere request as I am about to publish my first issue of Farming Families Magazine on Apple Newsstand and I think that my readers would really enjoy reading some of your articles too!

Would you give me permission to reprint any particular article in my magazine?

Because my magazine is an interactive digital publication, as a thank you, I would be happy to promote you either through a link to your blog, your website, opt-in page, a link to a sales page or to a promotion of any kind. I will also provide your bio at the end of the article, sharing information about you and your initiatives.

Please let me know if this is of interest to you. I hope to hear back from you shortly.

    Best regards,
    0448197835 (QLD)
